The eighth annual Midwest Classic Mixed Sale is now complete. Bluebird Vapor, a Pilot Discretion colt consigned by Bluebird Meadows as Hip 70, topped the session, bringing $35,000. Byron Hooley, who races under the banner of Summit Pacing Acres, signed the ticket. A group of 122 yearlings sold for $866,400, averaging $7,102. In total, 160 yearlings, weanlings, broodmares and racehorses grossed a combined $1.01 million and averaged $6,342.
